LawnSuite couch lawn care: low mowing and a 12-month calendar

Couch is a fine-leaf, warm-season grass that regenerates from both rhizomes and stolons. Here's what holds for couch in every climate, quoted from LawnSuite's couch program, and a 12-month calendar for your climate.

What holds for couch in every climate

Timing, heights and watering vary by climate: pick your climate in the calendar below.

From LawnSuite's couch program:

Mowing

Couch is a fine-leaf grass: mow low and frequently.

How it regrows

Couch recovers from both rhizomes and stolons.

Disease

Dollar spot is couch’s primary disease.

Weeds

If you use a weed-control product, choose one whose current label lists your couch variety (some labels cover only certain varieties), and follow the label. If you're not sure which variety you have, confirm it before choosing a product. Don't lay a pre-emergent where you plan to oversow: it stops the new seed coming up too.
