Mowing height is cultivar-dependent.
Recovery
Zoysia recovers slowly.
Winter colour
Do not oversow zoysia with ryegrass: it is too slow to recover in spring.
Weeds
If you use a weed-control product, choose one whose current label lists your zoysia species (some labels cover only one species), and follow the label. If you're not sure which species you have, confirm it before choosing a product.
